Book Review by Jack

The name of this book is "The Dahlmanic". The illustrations were done by Quentin Blake. Some other books by Roald Dahl are Matilda, The Twits and the B.F.G. The book is about Roald Dahls life and letters from and to his mam. There are fun facts, jokes, stuff about his books and other funny stuff. I would recommend this book for people who like any of Roald Dahls books.

Lost Lives At War, By Robyn
Where are all the brothers, fathers and sons.

Overseas fighting with tanks, bombs and guns.

Roaming around, no friends in this place.

Loved ones trying hard to remember their face.

Dead bodies scattered lost innocent lives.

Who are these people, sisters, mothers and wives.

Another bomb, another life, when will this end.

Remembering all our lost family and friends.

Book Review, by John

Book: "Pig Heart Boy" by Malorie Blackman. Other books by Malorie Blackman: Thief and Hacker.

Cameron Kelsey, aged thirteen has a heart condition and really needs a heart transplant but there aren't any human donors. Doctor Bruce offers him a heart, but it isn’t one from a human but one from a pig! Will he or will he not accept? I strongly recommend this book for ages 10 and up.

Book Review, by Melanie

The name of the book is Martin Luther King. The book is by Gary Jeffrey. The illustrations are by Chis Forsey. It's about a boy called Martin Luther King. There are laws and he doen't like them, so he tries to make it right. The question is does he make them right? I think this book is very intersting. I'd recommend this book for girls and boys from ages 10 to 12.

Béile Blasta, le Serena
Breithlá Daidí a bhí ann. Chuaigh an teaghlach go léir go bialann Shíneach. Bhí slua mór istigh sa bialann. Bhí board saor ag bun an bialann agus shuíomar síos ansin. Tháinig an freastalaí chugainn leis an mbiachlár. Bhí rogha mór ar an mbiachlár. Bhí fonn oramsa sicín agus núdail a fháil. Bhí lacha le rís fhriochta ag taisteal ó mo Dhaidí. Sicín agus cnónna caisiú le rís a theastaigh ó mo Mhamaí. Bhí fonn ar mo dheirfúr cloocheáin agus rís bhruite a fháil. Ghlac an freastalí leis an ordú agus nuair a tháinig sí ar ais leis na plátaí bhí siad lán go barr le bia álainn. Bhí an-ocras orainn agus d'itheamar é ar fad. Bhíomar lán go béal ansin. Ní féidir linn a thuilleadh a ithe. Chuir Daidí fios ar an mbille. Thug sé an t-airgead don freastalaí agus dúirt sé linn "Sé sin an béile is blasta a bhí agam riamh." Bhí áthas an domhain orainn go léir.

Rith na paistí amach agus chuir an priomhoide fios ar an mbriogoid doithán. Tháinig siad agus chuir siad uisce ar an tine.

The War! The War!, by Eilíse
How many people were killed.
God bless those men,
But the army tank had to be filled.
They did it for their country!
They did it for their family!
But little did they know
that the shillings were for
the killings. So there they stood
man by man,soul by soul.
Some people died but it
gave peace to the world.
